Question by Scott : What percentage does the goverment tax on investment income
I plan on investing money in a Particular stock. My question is, how much does the government tax for income on investments. If I pull my funds out in less than a year, do they charge more in taxes? Best answer:

Answer by Stephen Weinstein Qualified dividends are taxed at
5% if your income is taxed at other 15% or at 15% if your income is taxed at other more than 15%.All other dividends are taxed at the same rate as your other income. If you keep your funds in the investment for less than a year, then your capital gains (if any) will be taxed at the same rate as your other income.
