Filmmaker Whit Scott has compiled footage into a documentary, which follows a ?super secret group? of high-school kids in Los Angeles who have been toilet papering houses for 32 years.
?Rolled,? shows how a group of kids in 1979 formed their own ?secret society,? which even includes a historian, and first began filming their TP?ing escapades. When one of the kids graduated from high-school he would be replaced by an underclassman. And somehow, against all odds, the chain has remained unbroken for more than 30 years.
Scott launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the documentary, which surpassed its fundraising goal of $30,000, after nearly 500 people donated movie to make a movie about throwing toilet paper on other people?s homes. Scott writes on the Kickstarter page:
?In the late 90s, I joined this group as the historian. I recently convinced my three compatriots to recount their experiences. They said yes, we collected some great stories, and we were also able to meet the group's founding member.?
?What remains is to go to Los Angeles to meet and film the kids currently in the group, and see how it's doing since we left in 2000.?
Scott says the extra money the group has raised will be used to submit the completed documentary to ?a film festival or two.?
