TIAA-CREF is seeking a Manager in our Asset Management Services team to be based in New York, or Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various strategic initiatives across functional departments throughout our Global Real Estate portfolio which consists of domestic and international properties valued in excess of $20 billion.

Responsibilities:
????????? Manage various strategic projects that focus on Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting, Leasing, and Business Intelligence.? Projects will focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness along with adding value to Global Real Estate. ?Effective management of these projects will require a comprehensive understanding of Real Estate Investment and Finance activities including Acquisitions, Dispositions, Financings, Accounting, Property Management, Asset Management, Commercial Leasing and Valuation concepts for Real Estate and Debt.
????????? Project Management - Define scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.? Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and to budget in conjunction with technology partners. Facilitate and create business requirements across projects closely aligning to functional design process.?
????????? Process Design and Improvement - Designing and mapping new business processes, defining new roles and competencies of resources, measures of success and governance routines.
????????? Change Management - The primary pillars of re-engineering including impacting processes, technology solutions and people. Conduct and facilitate training and adoption of new processes and technology solutions.
????????? Proactively create and maintain Policies and Procedures related to subject process that provide preventative and detective controls to ensure ongoing data quality.
????????? Provide ancillary support for other functional areas within Asset Management Services and Global Real Estate
?Qualifications:
????????? 6 - 8 years of solid experience in accounting, finance and real estate. Strong understanding of the end-to-end processes in Real Estate Investment organizations.
????????? Understanding of investment management concepts including Asset Management, Acquisitions, Dispositions, Financing, ?Portfolio Management, Property and Debt Valuations, and Accounting?functions as well as various investment ownership structures (wholly-owned, joint venture, private equity fund, REITs)
????????? Thorough understanding of the project management and process improvement processes.? LEAN experience is a plus. ?
????????? Strong communication and presentation skills, relationship building skills and client service skills
????????? Strong analysis, problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize work
????????? Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or relevant disciplines
????????? Yardi, Argus or Cougar experience is a plus.
????????? Proficient in Microsoft office suite, including advanced excel skills and PowerPoint.
